Winter 2011 Newsletter

Hello Friends
2011 is here and we anticapate a transition into more WSS 3.0 / MOSS & Foundation / SharePoint 2010 this year. It's back to a Bootcamp in Feburary and 2 new Microsoft SharePoint Application Developer Certifications and then a deep dive in to Business Intellengence (BI) in the spring.

This Fall I completed a reresher course on Certificate in Advanced Web Application Development in .NET to re-discover the vital technologies that power successful Web sites. Re-exploring .Net development and ADO .Net Web database integration using Microsoft's proven approach.  Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008R2 on the .NET platform.

I accepted permanent position with the Washington State Patrol in October 2008 and work with a small 2 person Web Support Team.  After following my choosen path to certify in .NET and SQL Server, I anticipated tackling some SharePoint Application Development so I do my dev work offline at: http://www.asapsharepoint.com

My supervisor has recently informed me that I will not be able to fulfill my goal as a SharePoint Applications Developer, in essence I will not be able to change my work assigemnet or promote up to ITS 4.
