Focus Group Meeting Invitation

Dear Respected Health Professional:

We are extending you an invitation to attend a focus group conducted by several graduate students from The Evergreen State College’s - Master’s in Public Administration Program.

The purpose of our meeting is that we want to get to know our local providers of complementary and alternative therapies in our community.

In Thurston County we have not formally combined ancient therapies with modern medicine, spirit with science, or technology with touch even though this new trend is emerging across the country. The reason we are contacting you is to seek input from the disciplines or practitioners of the following categories: acupuncture, aromatherapy, herbals, naturopathy, massage, chiropractics, nutrition, physical therapy, social work, therapeutic touch, spiritual care and yoga.

We need your perspective in order to understand the impacts of complementary and alternative therapies in our community.

We will be hosting two different focus groups and hope that you will attend one of the sessions:

Tumwater Regional Public Library	The Olympia Community Center

Conference Room	Room 200
Thursday - February 3rd	Monday - February 7th
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm	7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

We are limiting our number of participants for each session and you have been specifically selected for the service or discipline you represent.

We anticipate that the focus group will last no more than 90 minutes. We will also provide refreshments and a snack. This is a casual meeting and all opinions are welcome.
